Tamara Toussaint is a Marriage and Family Therapist (LP) mental health professional that is trained in psychotherapy and family systems and treats mental and emotional disorders within the context of marriage, couples and family systems. She has worked with couples and families to explore and improve conflict resolution skills in relationships that develop across the lifecycle.
She has provided couple counseling and helped families cope with myriad developmental issues, including parenting strategies, coping with divorce, processing the impact of grief and loss on the family system, and improving family functioning. Tamara interventions use system work and the utilization of therapeutic models to address presenting complaints on a short-term basis.
Tamara Toussaint has had 10+ years of working with children (0-21) and families navigating the foster care system. She has provided support, guidance, mentoring, coaching, and training to assist children and family, provided skills to child and family to function successfully in the home and community within the context of both the child’s disability and their involvement in the foster care system. She has aided in problem solving and sensory/motor skills.
