Schaila Reyes holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University. She is Bilingual in Spanish. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to create a safe and judgement free environment to allow for collaborative work between the therapist and the client. She strives to provide culturally sensitive and inclusive care. She is a genuine, empathetic, and caring clinician. 

She works as a holistic and integrative therapist. She pulls from a variety of therapeutic models to include, but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman’s Couple Counseling, and Experiential Therapy. She emphasizes the importance of reflection, restructuring, deconstruction, and mindfulness to address the nuances from past experiences and present difficulties. In doing so, clients are able to embark on a therapeutic journey that will allow them to cultivate a more fulfilling life.

Schaila is passionate about supporting clients from marginalized communitiesincluding  people of color,  LGBTQ+ and veterans. She has experience working with a variety of ages and types of therapy, including children, young adults, and couples. She specializes in addressing depression, anxiety, difficulties with interpersonal relationships, grief, and academic and career difficulties. Schaila strongly believes in a collaborative relationship to address the difficulties the client is experiencing while elevating their strengths to encourage transformative change and growth.
