Racquel holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She has 15 years of experience working with individuals, groups and families. Her experience includes counseling at-risk populations who did not have access to adequate mental health care. She has exposure to a diversity of clients who suffered from generational dynamics of mental illness, alcoholism, suicide, abandonment, foster care and homelessness. She learned from her work with clients that life does not come with a rule book, but everyone can learn how to better navigate difficult life circumstances and the various hardships that are all too common in life. Getting better starts with sharing painful experiences.

She integrates insight-oriented Psychodynamic /Relational psychotherapy, along with Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative Therapy approaches to meet both immediate needs and to create long term changes. She is experienced in a wide range of life’s stressors and symptoms, like anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, grief and bereavement, work-life balance. She utilizes effective evidence-based psychotherapy methods. Her clinical style is a balance of warmth, humor and curiosity. As a therapist, she adapts her treatment approach to meet your unique needs.

Racquel takes pride in helping her clients to develop the most effective techniques based on lived experiences, strengths, while gaining self-introspection. She strongly believes in meeting clients where they are. She would be honored if you chose to take her with you on your journey to healing and happiness.
