Jesse Truxton

Jesse holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Lehman College, New York City. His experience includes working in the NYC agencies helping people who are dealing with hardship and severe mental health illness. He has also worked in the private practice settings. He worked with a diversity of clients, including children and families. He has been successful in helping clients overcome their mental health difficulties. Jesse believes that each client has a unique story and they come to him with their own individual challenges. He provides a supportive and warm atmosphere in sessions that helps the clients to relax as they go through their therapeutic journey.
Jesse works with adults and children. He helps children with their problem behaviors and he guides parents on how to deal with child problems. With children, Jesse engages in play therapy, among other approaches. With adults, he has been integrating several psychotherapy modalities, including CBT and psychodynamic approaches. He applies his knowledge and skills to create unique interventions in each session. He meets the clients exactly where they are, so that they feel understood and comfortable as they work in therapy.
