Judith Ulysse

MHC-LP

Judith graduated from Long Island University Brooklyn with her master’s in Mental Health Counseling. She has experience working with various populations from children, teens, and young adults, to older adults ranging from ages 5 to 60. She specializes in working with many types of disorders, but especially with those suffering from severe anxiety (GAD), PSTD, Adjustment disorder, and depression. As well as neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is skilled at helping clients process and overcome their traumas and sudden life changes.

Judith’s therapeutic approach first and foremost is to make sure to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients by providing them a safe space for them to share and validate their emotions and experiences. With that being said, humor is a major part of how she leads sessions. She is a firm believer that humor makes difficult situations lighter and easier to talk about.

She is an integrative therapist who uses different types of modalities to tailor treatment plans based on each client’s needs. The modalities she often uses are Play therapy, CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic therapy, Existential therapy, and Mental reconsolidation therapy.

Judith is a goal-oriented therapist, when she sees drive in her clients, she encourages them to put their best foot forward and go for the things they want to achieve in life. She applauds minor achievements that each client makes because making changes in life isn’t easy, but should never go unnoticed, especially living in a such fast-paced world. Fear and anxiety can make us feel stuck, but there is hope! Judith will be thrilled to walk you through your unique yet beautiful journey of healing and personal growth!
