Elizabeth Cohen

Elizabeth Cohen graduated with her MSW from Long Island University and she majored in psychology at The New School University, New York City. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Board Certified Hypnotist through the International Association of Counselors and Therapists (I.A.C.T.) since 2003. She studied hypnotherapy with the highly acclaimed Paul Aurand, M. Ht, and Barbara Klink, M. Ht, at the Holistic Healing Center in Chestnut Ridge, NY. In addition, Elizabeth has training in treatment of addiction disorders, as she is on her way to obtaining her CASAC license. Elizabeth incorporates her expertise in hypnotherapy to assist her clients with reducing their symptom of depression and anxiety and with finding their inner power.

Elizabeth has experience working with clients at several community organizations. She worked with women challenged by domestic violence and with clients with various emotional and mental disorders, including addictions. She has a passion for working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. Her work focuses on resolving clients’ symptoms, validating their experience and teaching them how to take their power back. Elisabeth works with adult individuals and she also runs therapy groups.
